IAFP to Host a Rapid Response Symposium: Salmonella in Peanut Products – Understanding the Risk and Controlling the Process

 Des Moines, Iowa (March 5, 2009) The International Association for Food Protection will host a Rapid Response Symposium titled,

Salmonella in Peanut Products - Understanding the Risk and Controlling the Process

on March 26, 2008 at the DoubleTree Hotel Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. The IAFP Rapid Response Symposium will bring together leading experts and stakeholders on this topic for a science-based discussion on the latest findings from the recent peanut products outbreak.

Considering the current environment, are peanut products safe? Are current measures adequate to ensure safety of these products? What are the best risk management strategies that can be applied to further reduce risk? These and other questions will be discussed to offer insight on lessons learned and current strategies to improve the safety of these types of products
