DIFSC 2012 Call for Abstracts

DES MOINES, Iowa (November 15, 2011) The Seventh Dubai International Food Safety Conference (DIFSC) and the International Association for Food Protection's First Middle East Symposium on Food Safety will be held in Dubai February 21-23, 2012 with a goal to enhance food safety standards in the Middle East and to harmonize global food safety standards.

Researchers, research groups, students, and food safety experts are invited and encouraged to present their work in the poster sessions at DIFSC. The deadline for poster submissions is Sunday, January 1, 2012. Abstract submission guidelines are available at: www:foodsafetydubai.com. Abstracts are limited to 300 words and topics must be relevant to food safety. Individuals are allowed to submit multiple abstracts; however, one of the authors must deliver the presentation.

This conference is organized by the Food Control Department of Dubai Municipality and the International Association for Food Protection and is supported by the Ministry of Environment and Water in UAE, International Association for Food Protection, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, and UAE University.

Various workshops, technical sessions, and poster presentations during the conference will feature more than 100 presenters from around the world. The programs are designed to suit the food industry, regulatory authorities, and students who are working in the field of food safety or interested in it. The 2011 Conference attracted 1,250 attendees.
