What Is There to Do in Marseille?

The natural beauty of Marseille is perhaps what first draws people to attention. It is not just the crystalline blue Mediterranean Sea, the rocky, limestone cliffs and inlets, and the alluring Frioul Islands, but neighboring areas like Cassis and Toulon, Aix-en-Provence, and the Luberon. From 6,000-foot mountain peaks, glacial inlets, and picturesque lakes and deltas, to cobblestone roads, centuries-old cafes and restaurants, and the Marseille Harbor, there is an inspiring vantage point around every corner. Marseille Named 2013 European Capital of Culture!
The ancient Mediterranean sea port of Marseille - today a bustling city of over one million inhabitants - has won the race to become the European Capital of Culture in 2013. The city is being revamped as if it was welcoming the Olympic games. What a change, lots of new cultural venues, the Old Port changed into a pedestrian area, new luxury hotels, excellent restaurants and lots of various celebrations throughout the year. The events will spread up to Arles and Aix en Provence.

Monaco Grand Prix
The Monaco Grand Prix is a mythical race in a glamourous and prestigious location. Come and experience firsthand some of the fastest cars roaring through the Principality's narrow streets as they pass the yachts and homes of the rich and famous. It is an unforgettable moment that you must anticipate and prepare. From a VIP terrace hospitality to a close-up view in the Paddock club, choose your experience before all hotels get sold out. From May 23 to 26, 2013.
