It was on October 16, 1911 that the International Association of Dairy and Milk Inspectors held its first meeting. Thirty-five men from Australia, Canada and the United States met in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On July 31 through August 3, the International Association for Food Protection returned to Milwaukee with a record-breaking international audience of more than 2,500 food safety professionals. To celebrate the Association’s Centennial, several special activities took place including a historical display, oral recordings, a 100-Year Toast (click on link above) and a 100-Year Gala Celebration at the Milwaukee Art Museum that will be long remembered by the 1,000 plus participants.

Since 1911, generation after generation of dedicated individuals have contributed to Advancing Food Safety! Thank you for your contributions. We look forward to the next 100 years!
