Award Criteria

Selection Method and Criteria

Affiliate Awards Selection Committee Members for each award will consist of the Chair, Past Chair, and Secretary of the Affiliate Council. Selection Committee Members will recuse themselves from reviewing and judging submissions from their respective Affiliate, with a former Affiliate Council Chair to be selected to serve as an alternate judge.

The Selection Committee will judge the Affiliate’s communications to its general membership based on printed samples of all communications (social media, newsletters, email blasts, screen shots of website, etc.) submitted along with a brief explanation (500 words or less) on Attachment B of the Affiliate’s Annual Report. The explanation could include, as applicable, information such as the means and frequency of communications; how the Affiliate has improved its communications; how the communications encouraged member engagement; and the efficacy of the communication. If the Affiliate has one, the Affiliate’s website will also be viewed and evaluated as a regularly updated communication tool.
