Affiliate Membership Achievement Award

Awarded to an Affiliate demonstrating progressive and innovative plans and ideas to recruit new members to join its Affiliate organization and retain current members.

Award Criteria

The Affiliate Membership Achievement Award will be given to an Affiliate demonstrating progressive and innovative plans and ideas to recruit new members to join its Affiliate organization and retain current members. It is not necessary for new Affiliate members to join the International Association for Food Protection, although that is desirable. The award consists of a mounted certificate.

Selection Method and Criteria

The selection committee will consist of the chair, past chair and secretary of the Affiliate Council. The committee will judge a brief explanation (500 words or less), submitted by the Affiliate on Attachment B of the Affiliate’s annual report, describing how the Affiliate attempted to recruit and retain members during 2012. The explanation should also include percent increase in membership from 2011 to 2012. This award should not be based solely on percent increase in an Affiliate’s membership, but also on the methods attempted to recruit and retain members.
